The Jay Feather LGT is a very lightweight trailer because of
years of engineering know-how. The modular frame design featrues
"huck" bolt assembly instead of welding. This allows
better fit and easier service. Interlocking dimples in each joint
control and secure joint positioning. Significantly stiffer steel
(high-strength low-alloy) is more rigid than commercial-quality
steel used in most conventional trailers. The frame is therefore
10-15% lighter than the frame of conventional travel trailers. Along
with E-Coat automotive electronic paint process which inhibits rust.
The aerodynamic design, lighter weight and standard enclosed
underbelly make towing easier and more efficient.
The Tuffshell sidewall construction uses vacuum-bond laminated
walls, roof and floor for smoother-looking, more durable walls that
typical pinch roller construction.
